This set of photos are from an area on the south rim know as Anticline Overlook. To get here from Moab, a substantial road trip was required. You have to go way south of town to be able to get onto the mesa. Just a dirt road, not a trail, it heads back north until you are just south of the Colorado River.
The potash mines. I am no Greenpeace'er, but this is ugly.
