Moab is always a blast. We had a great time. Gladly, the trip home was uneventful, although long The return path took us through Monument Valley.

The trip home was uneventful; some of the best trips are. From Moab, UT to San Diego is a beefy drive that usually takes at least a day and a half. At least at mog speed. One forgets about the immensity of the American west until you actually have to drive the length or width of a state. In this case, we drove the width of California, the width of Arizona, the height of Arizona and 2/3 the height of Utah. No matter how you express it, it is a long drive. On portions of the drive, in Utah in particular, the views are commanding. On other portions, such as around Needles, CA, it vast, but boring. But still a great experience.
